Meet ‘world’s largest cat’, a 700 lbs lion-tiger called Apollo

TIERE

Have you ever seen such a gigantic cat? I guess no. So everyone, meet Apollo. The beautiful lion-tiger that just earned the title of the „world’s“ biggest cat.

This is a combination of a male lion and a tiger- a gentle, giant liger. Apollo lately gained reputation after taking a walk with Mike Holston and wildlife conservationist Kody Antle in South Carolina.

The video of their footage was loaded into Youtube and went viral right away.

So this is the biggest cat on the planet and it’s name is Apollo. Here comes the question, what should this thing eat? I guess it would eat anything that appears in his sight, mentioned Mike.

The former football star also mentioned that our huge brother can get up to 40 miles an hour in a couple of steps.

People compare Apollo with the prehistorical sabre-tooth tiger, that existed 42.000 years ago. Mike said that the liger’s teeth are the same size as his middle finger and it’s tongue is the size of his forearm.

It’s lungs would probably be as big as his torso. Apollo’s neck is so large that either of the man couldn’t wrap their arms around.
