Milo the puppy was released by a breeder to help animals when he was only a month old. He was not just an ordinary puppy.
The puppy was born with upside down legs due to a congenital dislocation of both elbows. Since both elbows were deformed, Milo could not walk.
Outside of the creeping army, he would never have been able to walk normally without surgery.
But fortunately, he was taken to a veterinary clinic, where he underwent a long and intensive operation to recover.
The operation lasted almost three hours and was very difficult. For each of his elbows, they had to go into a joint and re-align.
They then insert a pin into the joint to keep him straight while his growing bones continue to form and his body develops internal scar tissue that will be needed for long-term stability.
Luckily, the surgery went well and Milo now has a front brace so he can’t use his front legs while he heals. After a few weeks, the splint and braces are removed.
Milo certainly still has a long way to go to recover, but he has proven how strong he is and has an incredible will to live. If it was interesting, please, share this with your friends and family.
