Life can be incredibly difficult for outdoor dogs. For animals with little to do, this is a heartbreaking scenario. In many countries, deficiencies are endemic and there are not enough people to care for or help them.
Low temperatures, rain and snow make life even more difficult for these innocent animals. For a severely injured dog unable to move, the storm was life threatening.
Just like humans, dogs can die from hypothermia. Her leg was badly bruised and swollen, she stood and cried in a puddle of mud and the rain continued to pour.
Finally a woman with a beautiful heart arrived. She saw the poor girl exhausted. A lifeguard named Karina picked her up and put her in his hot car.
Wiping herself with a towel, Karina tried to feed her, but she refuses to eat. His temperature is still dangerously low.
Back at the rescue center, the dog, now named Liberty, underwent a full examination. She had all the symptoms of the plague, but, fortunately, the test was negative.
However, she had a runny nose and eyes. Liberty took a hot shower. Karina prayed that Freedom would feel better now that she was warm and clean.
After returning from blood tests, it became clear that Liberty had a serious infection. The number of leukocytes is high. She is also anemic.
Karina was prescribed antibiotics and put on an iron-rich diet. If her iron level has dropped further, she may need an iron infusion. Liberty was still struggling, but she was still very sick. Despite this, his mentor did not give up.
Karina put the box in the sun, hoping that she would get better. She also gave him supplements to boost his immune system. Liberty continued to fight. Thanks to the love and kindness of his savior Karina, he had a chance.
Since this is a recent bailout, we don’t know what the future holds for Liberty. But at least she no longer suffers alone on the street.
