Artists turned old cardboard into a work of art – into a sculpture of lions

POSITIV

New York artists are people who can turn any nonsense into a work of art. And recently, they created two hugging lions using only old cardboard, glue, and their craft.

The couple wanted to pay tribute to nature and show the connection between resource scarcity and wildlife decline.

Collecting parts of this unusual sculpture is rather unusual. They used hot glue guns and a puzzle-like cardboard assembly method.

Look at this masterpiece! The lion’s fur was made from thin pieces of paper to make it look as realistic as possible.

Before starting work on their masterpiece, the couple spent a lot of time studying the anatomy and behavior of lions, examining the movements and actions of animals, looking through manuals.

They said they watched some great movies and videos that showed them how sweet and affectionate lions can actually be.

All this gave them the idea to create a sculpture of an animal that hugs.

The artists are making a cardboard elephant and hope to make 10-12 more from old boxes in the future. If it was interesting, please share it with your friends and family !
