A family in Ireland witnessed a miracle when hikers rescued their dog, which had been missing for two weeks in Wicklow Mountains National Park.

At the beginning of January, an 8-year-old retriever named Neesha got lost in the highlands of Willow National Park in Ireland. She and another pet, a sheepdog named Harley, were taken for a lengthy walk by her owners.

When they saw the deer, the two dogs ran away. While Neesha vanished without a trace, Harley eventually returned (she was found the next day in the parking lot).

The dog vanished despite the owners searching the woods and launching drones into the sky.

In the hope that Neesha would smell it and flee the park, they then placed a basket full of unwashed linen near where they last saw her.

The dog’s story was also spread by the family via social media. As time went on, there was no news about Neesha.

According to the dog’s owner, Erina O’Shea Goetelen, „we were hunting for her for a week, then another, but we started to lose hope.“The family began to accept that their pet would never return.

The news arrived suddenly:In spite of the icy and snowy conditions, doctors Jean-François Bonnet and Ciara Nolan discovered a dog snuggled up between huge stones on top of one of Willow’s peaks.

Her rescuers said Neesha was terrified and shaking everywhere. They tried to hold her on her paws, but she kept falling.

Ciara carried the retriever down the mountain on her husband’s back as they walked 10 kilometers down a difficult path.

The man slipped on the ice and fell various times. To ensure the dog’s safety, Ciara used a scarf to secure the retriever to his backpack.

The couple called Debris Creature Salvage immediately and transferred a video of the little dog to the administrator to check its character.

The rescue organization was already aware that the family was looking for Neesha, and when they saw her, they couldn’t believe their eyes: the dog had been on a cold hillside for two weeks without food or water!

It seemed like a miracle.Despite her weight loss and dehydration, Neesha was otherwise healthy.

According to Erina, „We had just about given up hope that day on Saturday, and when I received Ciara’s message that she found our golden retriever…,“We couldn’t have been happier.

They were simply incredible. We can’t thank them enough; we were overjoyed and relieved. We were unable to adequately express our gratitude to Neesha’s rescuers for returning her to us.

They are incredible people.
