The one-of-a-kind capacity of dogs to be so lovable, caring, and loyal will always be the object of admiration. Their enormous hearts are open to those who require support, care, or protection.
It applies to all living things, not just humans. Sarge, a German Shepherd, is a kind dog who cares about deserted fawns.
Cheryl Stephan, her handler, was a generous lady who adopted many deserted animals over the years, including some small fawns.
All of the adopted pets were very amiable and kind to Sarge, but Buckheat, Cheryl’s 1st adopted orphaned fawn, needed Sarge the most.
Warm feelings surfaced in Sarge’s heart when he first encountered this tiny creature. He immediately bonded with this baby and quickly became his guardian.
The helpful dog was involved in Buckwheat’s care in every way. He straight away assumed the crucial role of the fawn’s „mom.“ The dog just wanted to make sure that Buckheat was okay by following fawn wherever he went.
Sarge had to go find the fawn and bring him back when he grew up and started going out on his own.Cheryl had to release Buckheat into the wild as he grew in strength.
That really broke the dog’s heart. Even his owner was of the opinion that he would never be as sociable with other animals as he was with this one.
However, luckily she was off-base. Sarge once more demonstrated his compassion when Cheryl brought in additional baby fawns for rehabilitation. He immediately turned into a child sit for these great animals.
