Elderly dog’s new kitty is his “emotional support animal”

Many pet owners worry about how their elderly animal will react to having a new sibling in the house as their pet ages.

When Luz and her partner introduced Marley, the kitten, to their older dog Bob, that was undoubtedly cause for concern.

Although the names of the two animals may have been inspired by the same source, that was the extent of their similarity. Luz said, „Bob is an older dog.“

Despite being so small, he resembles an unhappy elderly man. On the other hand, Marley was a massive ball of energy. Luz stated, „He just doesn’t know when to stop.“

As a result, Luz was concerned about how the dog and kitten would get along when they first met, but it turned out that she had no reason to be concerned.

Luz stated, „Bob’s face lit up when they first met.“ That relationship began to develop, as we observed. They could not be separated since then. They became like siblings as they got closer to one another.

Luz used a surprising tactic to distract her pet when Bob began to become irritated with his younger feline sibling. Therefore, we would turn on the television for Marley to pacify him,” Luz stated.

Luz had no idea how much Bob and Marley’s relationship would develop. Luz said, „I thought dogs and cats hate each other.“ We really didn’t think this would ever happen.

Bob’s happiness and health improved as a result of his younger sibling. Luz stated, „I think Marley is Bob’s emotional support animal.“ He never feels alone because of my cat.“
