These elderly dogs get to enjoy their best years in a retirement home

Senior dogs are cared for at House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary so they can live happily into their golden years.

Sher Polvinale is the Overseer of House With a Heart, and Harriette Sackler is the VP.

They take care of senior dogs of all kinds and meet all of their requirements. They keep every dog that comes to live with them until the day they die.

The dogs typically come from a shelter or from owners who are moving into nursing homes or have lost a family member. There will be no more worries about the dog being moved once House with a Heart adopts them.

Taking care of multiple dogs with varying requirements is a costly task. For his surgeries, a dog named Spencer needed about $8000. Spencer received what he required with the assistance of their supporters.

Sher gets up at 6 am and readies the nourishment for each canine. The volunteers begin arriving at 11 a.m. because everyone has a need for something.

At first, it was hard to get help from others. The volunteers simplify everything now that they are a part of the family. The volunteers take care of everything from gardening to giving the dogs medicine.

During an emergency, Harriette is there to transport the dogs, and her most difficult task is to stay with them when it’s time to say goodbye.

They generally guarantee the canines are never alone during their last minutes.
