Lilya Bachinskaya found out that she would conceive again in the spring of 2019. Since Lilia and her husband Anatoly had three sons as children, they had always wanted a girl.
The couple planned an ultrasound in advance; however, the study revealed that Lilia was expecting Siamese twins. Because their heads held the babies together, the doctors assumed that they couldn’t be separated.
Despite doctors‘ advice, Lilia Bachinskaya decided to give birth during her pregnancy. She knew how complicated the situation was, but she knew inside that everything would be fine.
On December 30, 2019, Abigail and Michaela, or Abi and Mika, as their parents affectionately refer to them, were born.
As was to be expected, the sisters were joined at the head. However, the girls have a real chance of successfully segregating because research has shown that they do not share many brain regions.
Lilia and Anatoly Bachinsky started making plans for their upcoming breakup almost immediately after giving birth to their twin daughters.
The specialists needed about nine months to prepare the clinic and calculate everything ahead of time. For October 2020, everything was prepared.

The procedure required a total of 24 hours. Everything worked out well, and it turned out that both girls were in excellent health. The doctors literally gave the babies a new life.
Lilia stayed with the children at the clinic for an additional six months after Abi and Mika split up to help them adjust to their new lives.
Nearly two years after their separation, the Bachinsky twins are virtually identical to their peers. Despite being a little behind, they are quickly catching up.
The Bachinsky sisters are currently scheduled for a few more cosmetic procedures. In a few years, Mika and Abi won’t be able to believe they were once Siamese twins, according to the doctors.
In addition, Lily became a mother once more, and Abigail and Mikaela gave birth to a brother toward the end of the previous year. The healthy infant was given the name Adam.
