In 2020, Michelle Turner, a medical practitioner and single mother of two young sons, took part in a nonviolent demonstration against George Floyd’s passing in Sacramento, California.
Michelle saw her car severely damaged when she got back to it after the event.

The doors were smashed, the sunroof was in bits, and the windows were all damaged. All around us was glass.
She realized she’d have a very tough time paying for the repairs because the damage was so severe.

Berry Accius, a complete stranger, happened to be strolling down that same street at that exact moment and saw Michelle, who had just spotted her car and was grieving over the debris.
Berry, a young activist and community groups organiser, understood precisely what he wanted to do, and that wasn’t to continue to stroll past her.
He instead went over to Michelle and gave her his shoulders to weep on.
As you’ll see in the video above, he went above and beyond his initial act of compassion for his new buddy the next day, demonstrating the power of mankind.
