It is very difficult to live in the wild, especially for small baby animals. But even in a world where dogs eat dogs, the desert sometimes offers scenes that can melt even the coldest hearts.
Unique footage from Canadian wildlife channel Oasis HD shows a pod of dolphins helping a lost baby seal find its way home.
Out of curiosity, like any other baby seal, this little seal decided to go to the sea, to the deep waters of the ocean. But he did not know that being away from the coast could be fatal.
At some point, the seal separated from his group and, seeing that he was alone, was very frightened. At first she began to look after her parents, but to no avail.
This poor fellow swam in confusion, hoping to finally find his group, but after a few meters, the exhausted animal could barely keep its head afloat, and it seemed to him that everything was lost.
Fortunately, help for the lost seal arrived when nothing less was expected.
The herd of dolphins realized that the seal was in trouble and decided to help.
Surprisingly, marine mammals surrounded the missing seal and carefully returned it to shore. In the end, the incredible gesture of the dolphins saved the baby’s life.
Surprisingly, this is not the first time a dolphin has behaved in this manner. In fact, the narrator can even be heard saying that the scene is just another „mysterious selfish behavior known to dolphins by other animals.“
Dolphins are known to be highly intelligent creatures, and wildlife experts say they are very similar to apes or great apes in their social behavior.
The more we learn about dolphins, the more we understand that they have abilities and traits that we think of as humans.
